I’m doing up my house at the moment and would love to panel the entrance. We are trying to keep budget low aka not change the stairs at all if possible. I would like to panel the entrance as seen in the 1st picture but unfortunately my house comes with a winder staircase and a very random banister that gets in the way of a smooth lovely panelling job with dado rails. You can see this in the second and third picture. How the heck do I panel with this banister in the way?! Do I actually need to redo the stairs to make it straight, and remove those banisters? Can I remove the banisters and keep the winder staircase? As you can tell, I’m struggling here trying to come up with a solution to work those panels in. Hoping someone can provide advice and images to help. Thanks!!
