How do I get $300 in 4 days?

Hey, for context, I’m a software engineer, but the startup I worked at ran out of money. I need $300 to pay for the rest of my rent. I don’t have DoorDash or spark or anything and the time to get any of that is weeks

I’m figuring I can use some of my skills to get some money. I have experience in product development, web development, and a pretty good portfolio of backend/API stuff I’ve done from start to finish. It’s just some of those contracts take weeks to settle and get.

I genuinely don’t know what to do. Any advice or suggestions would be so helpful.

Hey everyone,

I’ve tried listening to a few AI-narrated audiobooks recently, and honestly most of them are tough to get through.

The pacing feels off, the delivery sounds flat, and at times it reads like a first take where you haven't read the script yet, and you still decided to publish it.

At the same time, traditional audiobook production is expensive, especially for self-published authors. I’ve seen quotes in the $2k to $5k range, which makes it hard to justify (my dad and aunt just published ebooks and are looking to do an audiobook).

Curious from people here:

  • What specifically makes AI audiobooks hard to listen to for you?
  • Is it pacing, tone, emotion, or something else?
  • Have you heard any that actually sounded decent?

Would love to hear real experiences from anyone who’s tried listening to or producing one.
