I recently took the relatively new official UK Mensa IQ test online.
Based on life experience and previous unofficial tests I have taken, I would put myself in the 'bright, but not exceptional' category.
The results came through Friday, split into two separate sections:
CATlab SAM: 124 (94th percentile)
NoVo: 97 (42nd percentile)
Combined:114
When doing the test I found the CATlab SAM part the most difficult. I'm not a native English speaker and there were a few words I don't recall ever coming across. That's not to say I found the NoVo part easy (there were a number I didn't answer), but I am genuinely puzzled by the score I achieved there.
I would have expected to score higher on the NoVo section than the CATlab one, yet it was the other way around by a huge margin.
Has anyone else taken the same test and been left wondering if there may be a software/scoring error with this specific test type?
