I purchased a home from terry pate home sales in lumberton NC. (True home)I have made 4 mortgage payments and currently still not living in the home. Primary reasons are
The home was delivered and there is a laundry list of repairs that need to be done and the only way I was able to get them to start repairs was filing a complaint with the state AG.
The second reason and purpose for the post is waiting on Duke energy. Once final inspection was set I was informed by the seller to contact my energy company to get service started. When I called they said they had to run new power poles new lines and new transformer. I’ve been told that the seller/GC should have called and had this in progress right after or we signed all closing documents and the land home site was being prepared. Has anyone been through this? Was this my responsibility or the sellers?
I’m beyond frustrated with the entire process I feel I was taken advantage of being first time home buyer and not knowing what to expect.
