Ground Bison Fatty?

Not sure if this is the right place for this post, but I bought 90% ground bison after hearing about how lean it is. However, it seemed to have a lot more fat than ground beef of the same percentage. Why is this?

The picture is after it was stuck back into the fridge, you can see quite a bit of orange solid fat.
