So if you are also up for a conversation then let's talk? And how about we start the conversation from, if you could gain one skill in your life, what would it be and why?
So i cleared my CA inter in jan 2025 and when I was preparing for my CA inter I was also working in a CA firm to gain skills because I was quite certain that I might have to go for a job over articleship during the articleship period because otherwise I won't be able to manage my expenses....
Like I still remember I was travelling around 22-25km for an audit on my bicycle in June 2024 when the temperature sored to around 44°C ,sometimes via buses when the audit location was just too much to cover through my bicycle. This was physically very draining and costing me a lot of time as well and then I was also thinking that when I'll clear my CA inter, who will pay for my CA finals fees, for my ITT, GMCS, classes?
So i had already decided that I would rather do a full time job over articleship during my articleship period and that's what I'm doing right now.
After clearing my CA inter I started job hunting and fortunately got in the accounts & finance team of a large cap listed company , they needed a new employee in their project team to do project accounting for their on-going projects in my city.
After getting selected I bought an activa for myself, a study table & chair for my room, bought classes for CA finals , paid my CA finals, went on my first solo trip where I hiked and had a very adventurous experience.
With my team I capitalised assets worth over 338 crores from CWIP to their respective head(applied component accounting in capitalisation of building, interest on general borrowings, staff salary etc because assets were capitalised in multiple phases) , getting experience in ERP ,laising with other departments to make my workings on like vendor-wise purchase of assets with how much of it was capitalised the net balance of which must tally with CWIP balance, discussing with engineering department on the status of on-site construction and their basis of estimated value etc. So my exposure is also very vast and great.
Sometimes I feel like everything is going well but then this thought scares me, what if I get caught? Because that's inevitable, my PF account would be more than enough to imply to my future employer that I did a full time job during the articleship period which can be very troubling for me and I might even lose my degree. It scares me and idk what to do to save my ass.
My brother says he has friends who work as CA in the UAE so I might get away with PF because dubai employers won't have access to my Indian PF account but I'm not sure about it. If any of you chose this path then pls do let me know how you overcame this problem?
Apologies, this is my new account but from my previous account I remember I commented in one of the posts in Chandigarh subreddit about my life being squeezed between studies and office work pressure which gets even more fucked up because my colleagues are much older and my social life is almost non existent.
So through that comment of mine I received 4 dms
2 of them were from guys and the other 2 were from the girls.
The 2 guys I started talking to were gay who were looking for a relationship online, although they didn't say that directly but the way they were flirting and asking for meetup since 1st week made me feel that way(no disrespect intended towards LGBTQ community 😬)
Out of the 2 girls , one of them was very insecure and negative about her career so she started venting out a lot to me even though sometimes I was exhausted myself from office work and all, i still listened to her patiently , she always refused for a meet up despite having multiple long voice calls on telegram so the conversation with this girl ended up to be very exhausting and unfruitful because it didn't make sense to me that when you can open so much with someone over a phone call then why can't you just meet them in person at one point(we were talking for around 3 months by then).
The other girl has been quite nice. Like we never talked a lot, for hours or anything but whenever we talked it went well, we also had a meet up which also went well and we are still in touch and catch up to each other once in a while..
So yeah this has been my experience from those 4 dms.
