What gives him the ability to propel so far in singles despite his smaller frame?

His two-hand backhand looks distinctly different, almost like he’s prioritizing side spin over top spin to get around opponents on passing shots. I’d love to see a slow-mo of it but I can’t quite pin down how it works.

Is he just incredibly good at reading the ball and anticipating placement? Despite his lack of wingspan he somehow returns some of the craziest, out of reach shots. Maybe his lighter build allows him to move laterally much faster? But also we don’t typically see smaller, lighter players at the top of singles. Very interesting player all-around.
