39 days from demo to final touch up.

My husband and I did everything ourselves, except installing the countertops and the range. The fridge and dishwasher came with the house and work fine, so we didn’t replace them.

It was crazy to create something like this in my head, see it on paper and then make it happen in real life. This was our first kitchen remodel and I’m pretty proud of us. That being said, I could live the rest of my life without doing another!

Our budget was about $25,000 for cabinets, countertops, range and microwave. Needless to say, we went over a bit, but not too bad. I think it was just over $31,000.

Cabinets are Diamond Intermediate by Lowe’s in Tropic with champagne bronze hardware.

Countertops are quartz in Monument White by Daltile (island is giant because the original installer cut the floor for the old island and I didn’t realize until after I had ordered the cabinets that I could have replaced the entire floor for what the island was gonna cost. But also didn’t really want to do the floor AND the kitchen. Also we love the giant island.)

Backsplash is light gray. Do I want gray (obviously dark gray) or white outlets? All I see is the gray, but I think because it’s so different than what I’m used to. I would like them to be as least noticeable as possible… thoughts?
