Something that doesn’t get talked about enough in festival spaces is how white the EDM and electronic music world has become …especially at the festival level. Electronic music’s roots are Black. House came from Chicago. Techno came from Detroit. Jungle and drum & bass grew directly out of Black British and Jamaican sound system culture. So when a festival like Lightning in a Bottle actively books Black artists across genres, that’s worth celebrating and amplifying.

The 2026 lineup has a genuinely solid spread of Black talent, and if you’re going and want to build your itinerary around supporting these artists, or you just want to discover some new music before the festival… here’s your guide:
