Freeze Everything - Crackling Lance Assassin
Hi all, wanted to share my homebrew assassin build for this league (ignore tattoos / runegraft in link, remnants from old builds)
I have a goal to kill all ubers with each ascendancy and I do my best to do something original instead of following a guide.
Assassin was very tough - it is a multiplier class with little in the ways of baseline power or defenses. Turns out, freezing is a pretty strong defense!
Build Summary: This is a bossing build that converts lightning damage to cold and perma freezes everything. It uses arc for clear and CL for strong rares / bosses. This build becomes an insane mapper if you put Arc in your 6L, even moreso if you fit in HOI.
Good Content: Uber bossing, Maven invitations / boss rushing, Essences. If you convert to a mapping variant (Arc being your 6L + HOI) I'm sure you could do some other mapping strats.
Budget: You could get a working version for 40-50d although it may be a bit squishy. I could very easily dump another 200d into this - there is a LOT of room to scale up, namely
- Svaalin, I could drop a lot of block nodes (esp on the left side of the tree). ES on block is doing very little for us since ES is low as is
- Better gloves - you can swap out Southbound for mapping / regular bossing, if you can scale your damage / duration enough you can use rare gloves for uber bossing too
- Better imbues - I couldn't be bothered, but power charge on crit is the best imbue
- Better cluster - Chaos cluster is a remnant from another build, couldnt' be bothered changing it
- Volatile Vaal'd Ring - Can get 100% conversion with one volatile vaaled Call of the Brotherhood
- And I'm sure there is better pathing available
