Is it too late to cremate?

My main question is this: Is it ever too late to have a pet's remains cremated?

A little backstory-

We were evicted in January & immediately trespassed from the property (that's normal).

Animal control was called to seize my pets, but one got away.

We went back a few days later to the neighborhood & found her. My fiancee kept her with him for 4 days, sleeping under a flatbed trailer across the street with her to keep her & our belongings safe.

She ended up being killed on the property we were trespassed from & were not allowed to retrieve her until recently.

She was left to the elements in a cardboard box & mainly just her bones & the bones of the babies she was pregnant with are left.

I have the opportunity to get her in for cremation, but have to move her from where she is.

I don't know how to do this.

I understand there are serious precautions I need to take to transport her. I need to know HOW to prepare for her journey safely.

Thank you!
