New Machine Recommendations
TLDR; if you were looking at buying again, what machine would you buy?
Hi everyone, long time lurker, 6 year owner of a Classic Pro. I’m looking for recommendations on a new machine. My current Gaggia has had a few loose connections and in a routine service TLDR will need a new Grouphead and Boiler + connections - so at this point costs are piling up. I’m going to keep the machine and refurb as our second/study (Hobby Style + add the Gagguino) but I’m wanting to see if anyone had any machines on their wishlist where hobby craft/aftermarket upgrades aren’t needed.
For context when I initially bought my Gaggia I was only pulling espresso but as my family evolved there is a higher requirement for milk based drinks. I’d be angling towards a dual boiler, but honestly if anyone wants to even recommend a thermoblock, I’d be willing to hear the argument.
In the past before Gaggia I considered Lelit Anna or even Ms Silvia, but wondering if I’ll run into a few similar problems.
Dont get me wrong. I worship my gaggia, but its time for an upgrade.
