Newbie question, has the uncut widescreen version of Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker been released to Blu ray?
Yes, I know I can Google this but I like this to be explained like I'm 5 (this actually worked out well after i asked about Bruce Lee's actual Game of Death movie a month ago on r/kungfucinema https://www.reddit.com/r/kungfucinema/comments/1rm3x4s/which_version_of_game_of_death_is_the_best_the_30/ ) so I just thought y'know
I'm not ignorant to DVD culture and in fact I've replaced a few of my movies due to this specific issue
I was applaud to discover the the uncut (far better) version of Return of the Joker on DVD has that terrible full screen widescreen transfer. What I mean is the the movie has both letterboxing and pillar boxing, and it's genuinely awful to watch on an actual widescreen TV. The dual disc Batman: Mask of the Phantasm doesn't even do this and contains a true widescreen presentation of the film on the flip side (for anyone who understands)
So I was wondering - because I think Return of the Joker works better as a widescreen presentation (especially the uncut version) - if the Blu ray release has a true widescreen presentation
