Feel free to edit this its in a very rough state and i would love feedback this is my very first homebrew subclass

Soulborne Artificer

This subclass can be chosen at lvl 3

Upon choosing this subclass gain tinker slots these work similarly to spell slots but take much longer than spells to cast these slots, do no damage, and are only used for crafting.

Upon choosing this subclass one item of your prized possessions becomes the soul catalyst anything and everything that dies wothin a 50 foot radius of you gets there soul trapped within this catalyst

Upon picking this subclass gain the tinker cantrips heat material and mold material you also gain the craftsman bonus which is 1/3dex + 1/3int + 1/3wis (rounded up)

That roll is how well your mech piece is made you roll it at the beginning of the process

Upon reaching lvl 6 gain 2 lvl 1 tinker slots and gain the tinker ability gem craft

Upon reaching lvl 8 increase int and wis by 1 also gain the abklity to make completly custom trinkets for example a ring with several protection spells to save your party members from absolute decimation

Upon reaching lvl 10 gain 1 lvl 2 tinker slot and another lvl 1 tinker slot also gain the runescribing tinker ability

Upon reaching lvl 13 gain 1 lvl2 tinker slot and 1 lvl 1 tinker slot

Upon reaching lvl 16 increase int by 1

Upon reaching lvl 20 increase int and wis by 1

The crafting mechanic is based on intelligence and wisdom and dexterity so when rolling for the stats of the crafted parts for the [soulborne mech] you would take a third of int, wis, and dex add them together and add it to the roll of said piece

Process of making [soulborne mech]

Made well? (2d20+craftsman bonus)

Below 10 = poor (1/2 all stats)

Below 20 = alright (-1 all stats)

Below 30 = good (same stats)

Below 40 = excellent (+2 all stats)

45+ = perfect (stats double)

Every piece of armour has its own health bar tho after hitting a certain threshold it will damage you this only takes place after the full mech is made

1st stage : (lvl 3)

[Exo suit thing]

This stage is comprised of a magic conducting material on a suit (this suit can be any form of clothing or it can be processed straight onto your skin which will make you take 2d6 fire damage) that will be used inside the [soulborne mech]

This is comprised of a MCM and 2 moss agates

This takes approximately 2 hours to finish

Process : suit -> exosuit

2nd stage :  (lvl 5)

This stage is comprised of making the left and right forearms and fists of the [soulborne mech] the strength of the soul put into these parts depends on the magic conducting materials

These are comprised of 2x1 sets of MCM 2x2 sets of PM and 2x1 Sets of AM

This takes approximately 4-6 hours to finish

Process : frame -> outer shell -> soul core -> gem (optional) -> runescribing (optional)

3rd stage : (lvl 8)

This stage comprises of making the legs these parts increase dex by 1 point and increase height by 4 feet take

These are comprised of 2x1 sets of MCM 2x2 sets of PM and 2x1 Sets of AM

approximately 4-6 hours to make

Process : frame -> outer shell -> soul core -> gem (optional) -> runescribing (optional)

4th stage : (lvl 11)

This stage comprises of making torso and head this increases con by 1 and the head increases height by 1 foot this takes approximately 6 to 8 hours to finish

Process : frame -> core frame -> inner mechanisms -> outer shell -> soul catalyst -> gem (optional) -> runescribing (optional)

Total craft time = 16 - 22 hours

Soul Overide :  Stage 4+

All soul overides take 1 action

Soul Overide | Add soulpower

Adds souls to an attack to make it even more devastating

Small souls = 1d4 per soul

Medium souls = 1d8 per soul

Large souls = 1d12 per soul

Boss souls = 1d20 per soul

Soul Overide | Subtract soulpower

Subtracts souls to make attack weaker and adds the souls back into the soul catalyst

Soul Overide | activate item

Any small trinket made woth soulpower can be activated from the suit

This is the only soul overide that takes a bonus action

Soul Overide | Absolute Decimation

(Stage 5 only) this takes all souls stored in all parts of the mech in one place plunges the soul catalyst into the characters body and explodes this attack bypasses AC and everyone inside the radius rolls a con saving throw with disadvantage with a passing roll of 25 passing will do half damage

Damage =

1d4 per small soul

1d8 per medium soul

1d12 per large soul

1d20 per boss soul

All health left in every part of the suit and yourself

Range = full circle Aoe

This relies on damage

Small soul = 5 ft per soul

Medium soul = 10 ft per soul

Large soul = 15 ft per soul

Max 300 ft

All damage is caused to everything in range including yourself this will instantly kill you and it is perma death no reviving for you as your own soul will be used as fuel for the explosion
