So I’m on a PPI - how to prevent SIBO from happening?
So I had perpetual bloating and belching, got cameras shoved in both ends of me, and doc determined I have acid reflux. I’m on Omeprazol (a PPI) and so far it’s working! Less belching as the days go on, my belly is flattening little by little, and I’m optimistic.
However, I’ve read here that PPIs caused SIBO for a number of people here. For those of you whom a PPI was your root cause, or otherwise just have the knowledge, what are things you wish you knew when taking a PPI that could have prevented SIBO, what are some things I can do to reduce the possibility of SIBO coming back, etc?
