I have been a great proponent of the repairability movement via companies like Fairphone and Framework. This issue then becomes all the more frustrating, since a little piece of plastic (the Joystick) broke off, not even from violent usage or anything but merely by using the product for about 9 months. Now I cannot use my product at all, since I cannot turn the device on (unless I carry a sort of pick, that I need to stick in the hole of where my joystick used to be), let alone use media controls.

From the outside view and lack of support articles, it does not seem that this is intended to be repairable either.

If somebody from Fairphone could prove me wrong and provide support, that would be great, I wouldn't want to turn this purchase into electric garbage so soon.
