Help wiping near-brick iPhone!
Hi folks,
I have a near-brick iPhone 16 Pro (unsure of the ios, but it should be a recent one) that got some water damage and now power cycles every 4-5 minutes without fail. I'd like to wipe it, but I think I am stuck.
Per Apple's instructions (https://support.apple.com/en-us/109511), I was able to wipe my ESIM from the phone. I then went into my iCloud (Settings>Name>"Sign Out">"Erase this Device". While it was processing this step, the device power cycled, so I am not sure if it fully signed me out. Now when I turn the device on, it takes me to the welcome screen, prompting me as if it were a new device. Before I can get through all of the steps, it power cycles. I have tried multiple times and cannot get through the prompts fast enough.
I have not been able to go through the steps to Reset the device (Settings>General>Reset>"Erase All Content and Settings") and the device is still showing up under Devices when I log into my Apple account online. I would love advice if I need to take any additional steps and how I might go about doing that. Thanks so much!
