I needed a backup B-Bari, and this new-to-me guitar happened across my feed and I made an offer that same day! Once I got her home I tried test-fitting in the std Fender Classic case (in matching Surf Green, of course) at the local GC, and determined that with a few minor mods she'll fit. Turns out that with some gentle persuasion and a few days of foam compression she's now snug as a bug - although with very little margin for error. I've dubbed her "La Bastardita" leaning into the spaghetti western/surf vibe I'm aiming for and outfitted her with some fresh LaBella Jazz Flats 60-14.
As a bonus, searching the name revealed a signature cocktail named "La Bastardita Picosa (chili liquor, mezcal, pineapple juice, and cilantro)" which I had my local watering hole whip up for a quick photoshoot. The savory, smoky profile is the ideal match for this guitarra!
