I love League demonology so this isn't necessarily a criticism, but does Ashlesh the "Demon of joy" even make sense as a concept?

Demons represent things that haunt people.

Fear, addiction, agony, secrets, nightmares. These are things that plague peoples thoughts.

Joy is inherently a fleeting feeling with no real downsides.

There are negative variations of happiness but these are usually described as mania or limerence. A lot of these start to fall more into the category of love etc.

Maybe it's me who's missing something, but what does Ashlesh actually represent? Is he actually evil? Does he torment people? Or does he just feed off positive emotions which technically makes him a demon?

I know that this kind of post is unlikely to reach the actual dub team but I feel like it needs to be said.

I see so many fandubs and fancasts where Chihiro sounds like Megumi.

Chihiro isn't supposed to sound like that. He isn't supposed to have that "cool teen throat scratchy voice" that a lot of teenagers with black hair in Anime have.

Chihiro is supposed to sound quiet.

The VOMIC dub and the official casting understand this.

Chihiro isn't bloodthirsty. He never takes any pleasure in being upset or in killing people. He doesn't have any sadistic edge at all. Whenever I hear a fandub and Chihiro sounds "cool" it means the casting is wrong.

I really hope that the english dub understands this. Bad casting or bad direction can really mess up the taste of an anime. Chihiro is the main character. He needs to sound like Chihiro.

I don't know if this sounds like a dramatic worry to have, but I see it so often.
