So I made this webapp which generates email campaigns (both the plans and the copy) for ecommerce businesses, and I think that paying for sponsored content in newsletters would be a good way to reach my target customer - a small ecom business owner who doesn't have the time/knowledge to create good emails, but also can't/doesn't want to hire a freelancer to do it.

Have you had any success with this approach, or is it generally a waste of money? I'm thinking of approaching newsletters that focus on ecommerce topics, but maybe it's a bit hard to find the exact niche of people I'm looking for.
