It was his best put-away pitch by a fair margin coming into the majors and through his third season. Last season it lost influence and it has continued into this season. He’ll never have the makeup to feature consistent command of his pitches but at least he could flip the change and get a few swings and misses when he needed them. Is there a story behind this?
