So for background I am 19F from the UK, 81kg, 5,3” (seems excessive but my bust is large and my legs carry a bit of muscle) I’ve always been on the heavier side since being a little kid. I started dieting at age 11 and have been in cycles of binge and restrict throughout my life. I feel like no matter how hard I try and how consistently I stick to my goals, the weight won’t drop. It sounds silly because my body can’t be denying thermodynamics but I feel like I’m a rare case or something where my body just needs a super low calorie intake. The only time in my life I ever lost a significant amount of weight was when I was around 15, ate 1000 cals a day strictly, did the gym for 1 hour 4 times a week. I lost around 10kg over about 4 months. I had to stop due to my periods stopping, hair falling out and constant illness. I thought “it’s ok, I can manage on slighter higher calories”. So to cut a long story a bit shorter, now I’m on 1400 cals, I try to prioritise protein, o eat carbs but never on their own and only really at dinner, I do the gym 2 times per week now with 10k steps every day. I’ve been doing this consistently for 6 months, only having a break at Christmas for 1 week. I have noticed clothes fit a bit different and my belly is softer, but I still weigh 79kg. I know I’m losing weight so a win is a win but it’s so fucking slow and I’m tired of having to work twice as hard as anyone else. When I ask for advice from doctors or family or whatever, all I get is “well you need to push harder” “obviously not tracking calories correctly” “your body can’t contradict the laws of physics”. I had suspected hypothyroidism which hasn’t been followed up abs I have diagnosed PCOS. I’d say something I could improve on is having less processed food and I also eat a bit much sugar. Not excessive but more than I should. It’s all still within my calories though. I need help I feel like I’ve tried everything.
