do either of these designs hold any cultural significance? or are there elements of the designs that have a history?

I am a white person who went to an artist for some black ornamental work, I didn’t know this artist or their work previously and was under the impression these are two original designs the artist made for me…

everyone who has seen them has said that they look like tribal tattoos, I feel like i have made a huge mistake. I feel so ignorant and ashamed for not looking into the designs before I had them put on my body. the last thing I would want is to carry something with deep meaning and intention that is not mine.

should I get them covered?
