This is my story,
I have recently moved to the UAE after my wedding in January.
I was struggling to get a job in teaching, however, I got one finally. Started in March.
I have been a teacher whole my life, dealt with everything. I’ve worked in top Delhi schools. I’m a highly creative person, but the deadlines are not enough.
Here, things are just so messed up. Though, I thought that given the situation/structure of the UAE, teaching job would be great.
I have realised that it’s not well paying, or even respectable.
It’s just a business. Show and tell. The children are disrespectful, the parents are demanding and the staff is as overwhelmed as I am.
Everything feels distorted and unsettling.
I don’t even know if anyone would be reading this but my mental health is significant to me, and I feel that for the compensation, the expectations are high.
