UK economy grew by more than expected in first month of Iran war
Despite all the odds our economy is growing!

Caught some of the PM's speech. Leadership questions aside, it's great to hear there are plans to move the UK closer back to Europe. This feels like a positive step towards helps jobs, trade, travel, and education between the UK and Europe, and hopefully in turn will help with the cost of living.
There's a series of local elections happening tomorrow, as well as Senedd and Scottish Parliament elections.
There's loads of aspects of local politics that impacts the cost of living, from the cost of council tax to local service provision. Would be really interested to hear, considering the cost of living specifically, who people are voting for tomorrow. And if you can't vote, who would you vote for?
Saw this reminder on my way into work that they new renters rights are coming into effect today. Great news for renters across London. Make sure you have a look at what new protections you have. See ya dodgy landlords!!
This is outrageous. Working people, business owners, families, all struggling with the cost of living. Whilst oil giants benefit.
Is there any way to stop this?
Love them or hate them, this is proof that the government has actually got control of the budget in this country. Obviously not great timing that the Iran war might disrupt this but I do think it's important to recognise that we are going into an unstable time in the most stable position we could be.
With summer well on its way and prices still high across the UK, lots of people I know are starting to book their holidays now. I wondered if people had any top tips for budgeting over the summer. Please share the thread below....
