Undergrad or Grad/Postgrad abroad for Bioinformatics
Hi I'm currently going to 10th grade (ICSE), for 11th and 12th I'm planning to take pcmb. Originally I wanted to do masters abroad after bachelors in India but now I'm thinking of doing bachelors abroad instead.
I wanted to ask which one would be the better option because I'm sure there are more experienced people in this subreddit. I know I may be a bit early to think of college but I haven't spoken to my parents yet because I'd rather have some knowledge in what I want to pursue.
I'm willing to take other international tests like SAT, ACT, IELTS. I lived in USA for 10 years and I would love to go back there and study but visas and money are a huge problem.
I feel like bioinformatics does not have the biggest opportunities here in India. Also, I love traveling and learning about cultures and I just feel like I can get soooo many more opportunities, internships abroad than in India where everything is just academics based and not much real world knowledge.
One this that I'm a bit concerned about if I take undergrad abroad is my extracurriculars, I've been taking Carnatic vocal lessons for 5-6 years now and I haven't even come to my junior examination yet. I took a swimming summer camp and I occasionally songwrite/produce. I also learn french on Duolingo but I'm not even at the A1 level. My academics are okay, I got a 96% in 9th finals, second place in my school for IEO Olympiad last year and first place in INDAC national academic bowl (idk if that comes under ec or academics)
I'm open to any country but rn I feel like I need words from real people rather than ai. I would love some general advice or experience or literally anything that would probably help me out. Thank you in advance!!
