Hey yall I finally caved and decided to invest in ceramic window tint . I got 15% on all 4 side windows, 15% back window, 35% windshield (ima post some pics tmrw) . Couldn’t be happier with the work done and now that I’m unfortunately having to live in my Corolla for who knows how long - the work NEEDED to be done . Enough with the yapping , for those of you reading that have windows as dark/darker then mine, how do you sleep peacefully with no extra shades up ? Seriously hahaha I have my windshield cover up and that’s it but I feel so exposed like no one can see in ,but I can still see out and it’s freaky lol . Do you just get used to it and get over it ? Or do any of yall still put extra blinds up just for an extra piece of mind . Stay safe out here friends 🚗🚐🚌🫶🏻

Anyone else lowkey sleeping at work right now ?

Ok yall I gotta talk ab this bc I feel crazy but I’m very at peace with my routine now and comfortable (or at least as comfortable as I can get in this car living situation lol) . I work at a distribution center full time and my schedule is Wednesday-Saturday 6:30AM to 4:30PM . Every night for the past few weeks , I’ve been using the parking lot as my safe quiet place to sleep ,even on my off days wich are Sunday-Tuesday. The parking lot is huge as is the building itself (over 1700 people work here with day and night shift combined) . Now the thing about the parking lot is that their is always a ton of cars ,but their all towards the front of the building (bc who wants to walk an extra 2 minutes ?! lol) so because of this , their is always a whole lot of space in the back of the parking lot (as well as plenty of speed bumps ! It’s important to me that they are there bc I would get physical if someone hit my car bc they like to drive to fast) . The building is 24/7 operations,so it’s never closed and it’s also not the kind of warehouse/ DC that makes people badge in through a security checkpoint to enter the parking lot. It blessing that I am able to do this fr 🙏🏼 my sleep has been so much better because now I don’t have to worry about sketchy people walking around , loud music or noise coming from other cars ,and there aren’t any semi trucks either thank god because they just looooove to run there engine for hours and hours . My routine now is waking up at 5:15 ,driving to the gas station across the road to use the bathroom and get more water, I brush my teeth and do the rest of my hygiene/skincare/makeup routines in my car , then after work I go to the gym ,shower , head back to my safe space. And if you are wondering about the bathroom situation (yes there is a 24/7 gas station across the street thank god) . Anyways who else is as crazy as me and also doing the same thing right now ?! Lol. And for anyone that might ask , yes there are security Guards however they stay in the building ,they don’t patrol the parking lot . Another positive thing I want to add before I go is that there is a lot of planted trees spaced throughout the parking lot so that’s a relief! I’m able to crack my windows a smidge , and stay in the shade when it’s hot out ,while I’m working inside and even if my car is still hot, it’s important to have that airflow anyway.
