[IWantOut] 38F teacher IND -> France/Canada/Germany

Hello,

I have an advanced degree in humanities which disqualifies me from the study then work route. I am looking for opportunities to help me move, not necessarily permanently but atleast for a few years. I have work experience in teaching, but I am too brown to pass for native speaker roles, and can speak English, a bit of French and German.

I have experience as a published scholar and some vague contacts in EU but I haven't kept in touch since Covid.

What routes are available to me? I know postdocs are one, but they look awfully difficult and need to be atleast 3 years for me to find them sustainable.

My ideal route would be a specialised masters, in fine arts or movement therapy, or continued education program with funding. Is this an option for me?

I may also want to return and set up my own think tank later and would like to know if there are opportunities to be trained in that.

Looking to move

Hello,

I am looking to move to Europe (preferably) and trying to find my options. I already have a doctorate in humanities and I am in my late 30s, so further studies are out of reach, and my job prospects are limited in my field.

My best bet seems to be a postdoc. But they are increasingly hard to get.

Are there alternative courses, like diplomas or jobs for which I would be qualified?

I am in my late 30s, no dependents.

Is it just too late and should I give up? Are consultancies even worth it?
