Finally finished this build, pretty happy with it. Lots of light up controls and details.
I even have a deploy-able rc zodiac. Can lower it remotely and then run it with another transmitter. Runs on 4 X AAA with a small receiver, outboard motor and steering servo. I took apart one of those toy wind up outboards and scavenged a micro servo motor altered to run 360 degrees to drive the prop. Gives me forward and reverse without an esc all running from the receiver.
It does hang up a bit on the rope hooks when I deploy it but will try and sort that out. I think in a larger body of water the small ripples will bob it up and down enough to help release better. I have only tested it in a tub so far. Here is a test video: https://youtu.be/XiEbwEC3SGg
