I'm trying colorwork for the first time so I picked out the the free Julvanten 2025 mittens on ravelry. I'm so confused on this chart, I have watched so many videos on how to read colorwork charts for mittens but none of them seem to look like this! Which square do I start on? I know my first mitten follows the A1 chart but the way the top of the mitten is cut off and placed to the side is confusing me. Am I knitting right to left starting from the bottom of the chart like most videos tell me, or should I be knitting vertically? Any help is appreciated, I'm so lost!
