Figured most veteran reps had this thought or circumstance come across their mind a time or two and decided to ask for your opinions…

I’m considering a high-mileage lease due to how much I drive for work and wanted to see if anyone here has positive experience doing this.

For context, I typically buy CPO vehicles and keep them for 10+ years, but my driving has increased to about 25,000–30,000 miles per year for work/recreational.

Because of that…

- I’m realizing I’m destroying the resale value of any car I buy due to mileage.

- I’m burning through powertrain warranties much faster than normal.

- After a few years the car has very high miles, so trade-in value is pretty low.

This got me thinking that a high-mileage lease might make more sense, considering depreciation and mileage wouldn’t really be my problem, repairs would be fixed all under warranty and I could just swap into a new vehicle every 3–5 years.

Any experiences, help or insight would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
