28F, doctor wants to put me on statins?

I have struggled with my weight since childhood and have been on and off losing and gaining weight. I guess because of my lipid panels trending high and not going back to normal for a prolonged period of time, my doctor is reccomending me to go on a statin. Between the 2025 and 2026 numbers I have lost 35lbs going from 300lbs to 265lbs. I am currently still losing weight and doing my best to eat better. I am even no longer in the pre-diabetic range from my 35lb weight loss. Do I really need to go on statins or can I just keep losing weight and eating better? My tryglycerides were higher this time, probably because I had not been taking fish oil like I should. When I take it, my tryglycerides are significantly lower but still considered in the high range. Below are my results over the years. I just feel like I am too young to be on statins, but I know I am obese, I know it's my fault. Depression sucks... I really don't want to end up like my dad who died from Congestive Heart Failure. I am already on so many other meds for PCOS/insulin resistance and depression/anxiety, I hate to add on more. Seems like ever since I hit my mid/late 20's everything has been going downhill.
