I'm happy with slow, organic growth and I feel like I'm alone

As the title says.

This sub is filled with people constantly contriving ways to hit an explosion in popularity. I don't blame them, who wouldn't want that? But I feel like people give up too quickly on the idea of slow and organic growth, that their expectations for instant success are unrealistic and unsustainable.

For example, I wrote into the void for months before getting my first follower. It took 18 weeks of weekly chapters to cross my first thousand views. But, because I kept at it, the growth and the rate of growth is increasing. What took me 4 months has since doubled in the last three weeks, followers has gone up from 0, to 1, to 7! I even got my first comment and rating!

Maybe I'm wrong and I should be constantly starting and restarting new fictions to chase the dragon. But I don't want to. I feel like there a far more writers in my position that are going unsung, so I thought I would champion them if only for a moment.
