Hey guys, I need to transfer files from my phone to my laptop for a video project, and quickshare's transfer rate has fallen off a cliff.
I use it fairly often, and generally sit at 50-160mb/s, but at some point recently it lost that capability. I put up with it for images and basic work documents, but I currently have a multimedia project and videos have an expected delivery time of 24h+, with a transfer rate of 14-490kb/s.
The main issue is not the speed. The main issue is the lack of result. After 10 minutes or so, an error occurs saying that connection to my phone has been lost. Some videos have progress in the upload, but checking the files I have the first 5 seconds of each, then the playhead skips to the end timestamp. None of the intervening video exists, but the total length timestamps have transferred.
I have since updated my computer and restarted my phone, but have had no improvements. I ended up turning to bluetooth file share, and every step of the process told me to use quickshare, "because its faster, and the best way to transfer files between android and PC". If this counts as advertising, I can comfortably demonstrate it is false. With bluetooth file share, I have waited 20 minutes, and the first two of sixteen files have transferred. I'll leave it overnight.
Is this a known issue with quickshare? There is no update or patch available, nor any recommendations in-app for solutions. If there is a known solution, I would love to hear it. If not, I would love to put my name on a complaint board if one exists.
