Admist the age of industralization, the development incadenscent light during the market revolution lighted up the streets of America, providing us a way to see. From that point onwards, human society no longer became fear of the darks — in fact, the idea of night culture and night life have been becoming more and more prevalent. However, despite some of the perceive surface benefit of lighting, we have to question: Is it truly beneficial for our society? Indeed, in many cases, it does not. While the increase in crime rates is a significant factor to consider by government officials, concerns on the protection of animals and high risk of night travelling should be the main factors that the government should take into account.

First government should take into the account of factors of light pollution that harms the wild life of the surrounding area. Often, light pollution creates an environment that challenges the navigation and behavoirs of animals that harms its ability to survive in the wild. For instance, light can distort the environment so much that it can “make if difficult for animals like bird to migrate”,often the challenges of migration can cause “the decrease of flowering population in the case of moths”, which would cause a trophic cascade of negative environmental impacts that leads exacerbating negative impacts on the environment(source A). Consequently, animals preserving due to the factor that it is so important to the overall survival and ecosystems of surrounding areas makes it a significant factors for government to consider to reduce given light pollutions ability to offset the normal migration patterns of animals. Therefore, by reducing light pollution through taking into account of measures that helps to protect animals, especially those that rely on light signals to migrate, it serves as an important factor for government to consider in order to tackle the foundational problems of changes in animal behavoirs in order to prevent a ecosystem collapse. Moreover, the consequences of light pollutoin can lead even larger consequences for niches of population with the ecosystem through distrupting “mating, migration, and feeding” of animals that rely on. According to Source A, animals often rely extensively on their ”nocturnal” and “diuranul” signal which can be otherwise dirupted by light pollution. Moreover, the studies also indicate that “humans” since we are also “animals” are also effected in our circadian rythme to the extensive light pollution we are exposed to. Since the animals in the wild are so reliant on using ligt signals for doing tasks and carrying out basic survival behavoir, it is imperative for the government to prioritize policies that reduce the impacts of light pollution towards animals in order to prevent an ecosystem catastrophe and also limits it health risks to humans. Consequently, policies taking in account of animal protection is a win win case under which not only does it help to save our ecosystem by preventing negative impacts on animals behavoir, but at the same time help to improve the health of ourself through maintaining normal rhymes in sleeping.

Government should also take into account on the danger of night transportation and travel as a signiciant factor to take into account to tackle light pollution concerns. In many cases, light pollution can blind drivers and people walking at night, increasing the changes of deaths and injuries. According to a study, the removal of light pollution can reduce “accidents by 40% at night”, indicating the direct positive correlation between reduction of light pollution to the reduction of risk walking outside of night. Consequently, the reduction of light pollution can help to maintain safety on the roads late at night by helping to sustain the roads as a place without distractors that distort the direction of vehicles and traverllers. Therefore, due to the removal of lighting pollution would reduce the changes road accidents, considering the night travelling as a important aspect to target is significant in addressing the concerns of this urgent issue. While it is true that increase in crime rate is also significant factor to consider when reducing night pollution; However, this concern is actually uwanrred due to recent studies showing how increase in lights can actuall quote and quote “increase crime”. As a result, the idea of travelling risk is a much larger factor that governmetn should take into account rather than focusing on crime rates correlation that pose uncertainty to the actual effectiveness and impacts of regulation overall.

In conclusion, government, when considering how to address light pollution, their primary goals should be aiminig to it effects on animal behavoirs and transporation risks. While there are some other factors like crime rates taht also may impose risks, the latter factors plays a much bigger role. Thus, it is imperative for us to follow procedures that prevent these factors, allowing us to work towards a better future.

In article reflecting on fundamental ideals of democracy, the author Louise Endrich uses a strategic metaphors and repetition in order to emphasize how invaluable bookstores are in helping to maintain and promote democratic societies. By strategically implementing these series of strategies, Louise aims to effectively convince the audience of younger generations, especially those within democratic societies, the significance of book stores, allowing them to show greater appreciation.

First, Endrich strategically employs contrasting metahpor in order to emphasize bookstores significance in pushing for democratic foundations, citing: “ when democracies are not burning democracies burn harder. Literature becomes dangerous bonfires of the night.” By comparing the purpous of the book store to “bonfires” of the night, Endrich vividly protrays how bookstores helps to advance democracies even under the most authoratarian regimes through helping to “burn” through the oppression of their dictators. Consequently, the use of metaphors helps to effectively appeal to masses through logically associating the abstract concept democratic advancement to a more daily visible item of “bonfire” allows Endrich to send a clear message of the value of bookstores in helping to push through democratic reforms. As a result, effectively to spread awarness of the bookstore inherent value to population of younger audience and appreciation for bookstore establishments. Likewise, Endrich employ a similar metaphor in the previous sentence: “if your life is burning well, poetry is ash”, where she effectively contrast the works of “poetry” within the bookstore to “ashes” to emphasize our often neglection of their inherent value within democratic societies, as we often view them as insignificant as “ashes”. The use of juxtaposition between the idea of “ashes”, which symbols doom and despair, and “bonfires”, which symbolize hope, uses the contrast of two items with very different coonnotation of hope and despair to highlights the significance of bookstores in aiding populatiom of the oppress to overcome difficulties and to greater democratic reforms. Therefore, we see that democratic reforms, despite their seemingly insignificance within societies with strong democratic consolidation, serves as a valuable way to help to spread englighment ideals in order to break away from our oppressors.

Moreover, Endrich builds on her claim of the value of bookstore in helping democratic regime in helping to push for greater democratic reforms and maintain democracy by using symbolic epithora. In the quote, “ Democracy is the respect for joy, and books are joy”, the repetition of joy at the end of the sentence highlight how the presence of works within bookstores helps to push for our joyful expriences within democratic societies. The use of the word joy, which is often linked to happiness and a strong democratic foundation that emphasize on human rights, shows how bookstores help to maintain those values that are the most inherently democratic, and thus helping insitutions and society to continue functioning. Consequently, by using the repetition of joy at the end of both sentence, Endrich effectively helps the pinpoint the effectiveness and value of bookstores especially in helping to improve societal wellbeing towards a positive path, which directly contrasts itself to authoratarian societies linked to opression. Therefore, through promoting the value of bookstores through its continued emphasize on its ability to maintain dmemocratic systems, the audience, of younger generation, would assocaited bookstore to symbol of happiness and joy, allowing her to spread awarness of it value and increase appreciation for the mutitude of literatary works that helps to provide them with the joyful life they live within.

In conclusion, through using a combination of strategic metaphors, through comparing “ashes to bonfires”, and the epithora. Endrich effectively highlight the valuble role of bookstore in helping to sustain and advance democracies whether it is within democratic system or authoratarian regimes. As a result of these emphasize, Endrich effectively allows the younger generation of children to become more awar of the importance of literature work, helping to advocate for their continued usefulness in the time to come.

Argumentative

Social movements, the process of collectively advocating for a shared change, had a prolonged impact on the trajectory of our society. “I have a dream”, the speech delivered by Martin Luther King to end the suffering of segragated America can be arguably be considered an imagination . A world of imagination in which justice is above traditions, and where injustice leads to consequences. Thus, Jeff Chang idea of “collective leap of imgination” is valid and have been a prolong core process of social movements, where the key concept of “imagination” have serves as a breaker of the bars taht imprisons our ability to act. While some critics may argue that collective imagination when use to design harmful value can pose significant risk to trajectory of societal development, collective leap of imagination and creativity plays plays a major role in unifying the population and collectively push for reforms.

Collective imagination have longed serve as a platform for the oppressed and discontent population to unify and break away from the oppression of our supressor by allowing us to follow the framework of justice, equality, and progression. When Martin Luther King created the Southern Christain Leadership conference during the era of continued racial segregation, his foundation wasn’t to merely challenge white dominance and equalities in America, but to allow his supporter of fellow African American to Imagine. And by imagining a very society that wwhere black, white, Asian and all races can live together within harmony provided them to push for civil rights activist movement that eventually allowed African Americans grasp the opportunities for change and desegregation. Consequently, imagination as a collective where we think of the ideals of protest collective against our opressors through imagining the benefit of improvement helps to provide a platform for us as a collective to unify and fight as a group. Therefore, the idea of imagination isn’t soley to let us dream with inactions, but provide the very foundation of goals within the broader social movement as a collective goal, allowing us to act more in uniformity and escape the hands of our opressor. As a result, imagination helps to provide value through giving us hope to act for change, making it an invaluable process to act together. Moreover, when Ghandi walked through the Salt Walk to challenge British dominance during the 20th century, his policies was not founded on violence, but rather a similar process of imagination. In this case, Ghandi promotion of an imaginative world where Indians can have their own independent nation through the ideals of self determination highlight how dreams and aspiration provide and foundational way for us as a society to unifty and fight back against our opressors. Consequently, the use of imagination in Ghandi case allows to promote a more effective strategy of peaceful protest, using his appeal of values derived from imagination to actively persuade the masses to come together and colletivelyprotest. Therefore, the value of imagination lays inherently within it opportunity to built a collective values through imagining a society of the future, allowing us to as a single entity promote progress within society itself.

Moreover, imagination also allows leaders as a collective to think of social reforms. Often, imagination under which society reflect and think about the presence can allow us to pick out the injustice within the foundation of our system and leadership, allowing us push for structrulized reforms. Indeed, when Lenin read the communist manifesto in the 1920s, and consequently his opposition to the supressive autocratic regime of tsars under the bosevicks can be seen as a way where the imagination for a communist society helps to promote greater equality within society. Consequently, the communist revolution of Russia can be seen where imagination provides us with englightment ideals that helps to push for reforms, in this case revolution, to help to push for social change through allowing us as a collective to think and protest against injustice. Therefore, imagination of a communist boselvick is valuable as it allow us to target problems directly, allowing us to promote reforms more effectively. While some social movements like the facist overthrow of Nazi Germany, and the subsequenty promotionn of hierichal and racist societal policies can show how imagination of values and the future in the wrong way as a collective can have negative consequences. Collective thought for the most part, using imagination, can strategically utilize the imagination to allow society to reflect in the path of the correct development, prompting society to improve as a whole thorugh progressive measures.

In conclusion, imagination as acollective have continued to help us as a society to push for greater reforms within our society through providing us a platform to unify and collectivel push for reforms through reflection. Consequently, imagination is indeed significant and invaluable for the progression for our society as a whole.

In the speech, the “role of American Women in World War II”, Congress women charle Boothe loothe made a speech uniting women in American to join efforts by utilizing a series of vivid repetition, juxtaposition, and rethorical questioning in order to helped advocate for greater women participation in the worldforce and encourage them to stay strong under harships. By using these series of strategic rethorics, Charle Boothe was able to effectively appeal to the audience of America’s women, using her powerful message to call for action through promoting unity.

Throughout her powerful speech to the American public, Loothe uses repetition in order to unify the thought of women in America and pushing them to overcome the hardship of the women. The parallell structure where the subject “we” is repeated throughout the essay in phrases like “we going to work for victory, we going to have colder homes…..”helps to effectively turn the sacrifices of women in areas of fashion, domestic lives, and consumption into a form of nationalism helping to promote the legitimacy of the war, while helping Loothe to spread a powerful unifying message through emotional appeal that effectively calls for greater voluntary participation in the workforce and in the war efforts. Moreover, the use of the phrases “Yes, ladies, the road ahead is going to be bumpy one,” and “yes, we found time to be little for glamrous” helps to repeat the words of “Yes”, a word that signifies acceptance, helps to further appeal to the audience of the female masses through the emotional appeal of sacrifices as Loothe connects the idea of sacrifice to the concept of inveitable acceptance that would help push for a greater cause for American victory and society. The use of strategic logical appeal coupled with nationalistic emotional relevance to the lives of the American female helps to effectively unify the thoughts of people at war and back home, allowing for collective actions that pushes for victory. Moreover, Loothe strategic use of repetition appeals especially to groups of women activitest promoting women rights, during the 20th century America, would exploit the conditions of progressive idaels to further unify the people of America to fight the facist and join their partners efforts to counter terrorism in Europe.

To further unify female population to join the war efforts, Loothe, in the phrase, “ A soft war leads to hard peace, a hard war leads to happy peace.” strategically juxtaposes the terms “hard” and “Soft”, Loothe helps to highlight the significance of women participation and their persistance efforts to sacrifice their normal ways of living an Ameican “Glamorous” life is needed to the future of American and a society of “peace” that women could go back to. By juxposing two words of complete anotynme, the author through appealing to women through logic allows her to unify the masses again, allowing us as a society to work towards to goal of “Peace”. The connection of “peace” and “hard” provides hopes fo the female audience as they continue to aspire for the day of “victory”, where they would be able to go back to their lifes of “fashion, warmth, and glamour” and thus helping to push for unity in order to promote a better future away from the facist and neo nazi influence of germany.

Lastly, Loothe futher appeals and unify the female population through the using of rehotircal questoin and hypophora in order to provide a clear goal for women to work admist the crises and uncertainty of ww2, this is provided in the phrase “So what exactly are we women going to work toward?”, and immediately answering it with words like “intellegent” and “intensity” again signifies the sacrifices require for women in order for them win the war, but more importantly help to set a collective mindset that helps to push for a collective response in the war effort through the appeal of a natioanlist tone. The use of rethorical questioning allow the female audience to rethink and question about their role of existence within the greater context of war, and by answering it provides an easy answer for them to work toward, allowing to push for the greater unity and collectivism within the hardship and depressed conditions of war itself.

In conclusion, Loothe by effectively combining the stratigies of repeittion, contrast, and hypophora, the congress women is able to effectively use the subject of”sacrific” by connecting it to the mainstream ideas of conflict of “hard” conditions in order to unify the masses to work towards the greater goal of ending these suffering through collective actions. As a result, the promotion of collective unity serves as a strategic way to promote hope amongest the time of depression, as the continous emphasizez of “victory” serves as a push factor that helps to unify “females, childrens and husbands” of America into a single entity. can you help to mark this
