So, iam the DM and we want to start a new campaign. We are three good long friends, but we all want a third player for the campaign. They both know the same Person, lets call him Jack, who really wants to play with us and they said he is cool.
I was relieved we get a third Player but said, i wanted to speak with him to get to know him and talk about his character plans.
We then had a phone call.
Now the problem. We talked a bit, everything was cool, then i told him what the other two want to play and told him about my male friend who wants to play a female druid character. He then asked if he heared wrong, a female? I said yes. Then he laughed strange and joked about grape (you know...). I imidiatly was shocked but kept going on with the call. At evening i called both of my friends and told them about this and how shocked i was. They said that he never acted like this and its unbeliveable... I said i cant imagine to play with someone whos first thought after i mentioned a female player char, is Grape....
They understood but we are now one missing player and are all bumped about this situation...
Would you have done the same? Its somehow a curse, everytime they bring someone to play with us, its me who puts a veto in... But comon... that was so f up..
