So my uncle got a new HVAC unit for his house. After it was craned onto his roof the contractor realized it was the wrong unit as it's a 3 phase 208v unit

The contractor says he'll make it work with a transformer.

My uncle was asking me cause I am an electrical apprentice but I have zero experience trying to get 3 phase at someone's house.

Is this even practical or should my uncle demand the unit he swapped for a residential unit?
