Okay, I already posted before about Capri possibly being either an Alpha or even a Hyde. But the more I think about it, the more the Alpha theory makes sense to me. Why?

Well… She always seems strangely out of breath and not completely dressed, almost like she’s transforming in broad daylight. Like someone who can shift without needing the moon.

But Tyler gives us a pretty important clue in the last episode: he says she smells like a werewolf.

So by elimination… she could actually be an Alpha.

And honestly, she seems to know way too much about werewolves and transformations in general. She also doesn’t seem particularly worried about Enid, which feels a bit suspicious considering what a normal werewolf should be capable of during a full moon.

Then there’s the whole Alphie situation. Because if we understand Capri correctly, her boyfriend was supposedly ordered by Minerva to attack her during the full moon… even though Isadora is known in the outcast world for being a werewolf? Uh… strategically, we’ve seen better ideas 😅 I mean, you literally wait three days and the fight is already won before it even starts.

Unless……it wasn’t actually the full moon, and she transformed anyway.

And honestly, I also think it’s possible Capri is simply lying. Maybe she was actually the one who ordered Alphie to kill Minerva and just got injured in the process.

Anyway, all of this is still just speculation for now 😅

But at the moment, my bet is still on Capri being an Alpha. What about you?

In Capri’s file, alongside Alphie’s information, there’s a note about being careful with allergies… which feels like a very strange thing to include in the file of a music teacher while talking about articles concerning her ex Hyde boyfriend who died under mysterious circumstances…

And honestly, it immediately made me think about Wednesday’s color allergy.

So I went back to rewatch the openings of seasons 1 and 2, and more specifically the title/logo. We already know it changes color between the two seasons, but strangely enough, those colors immediately reminded me of… Tyler’s Hyde.

And yeah, if you look closely, the season 1 logo leans more toward grey streaked with purple, while the season 2 logo shifts into blue moving toward purple....which is exactly the same evolution we see with Tyler’s Hyde.

And honestly, I find it pretty funny that there’s once again this opposition between Wednesday and Tyler. On one side, you have someone who is literally allergic to color. And on the other, a social outcast who… slowly becomes more colorful. Like two opposites… once again.

And when you remember the idea of discoloration after belladonna poisoning, the whole thing starts to feel even less random.

I mean… Wednesday comes from a lineage of witches. Goody herself is known for her curses (just ask Crackstone) and her desire for revenge (and no, that’s not me saying it, Mama Morticia did 😅).

Anyway, I think you get the idea…What if this whole “color allergy” thing is actually connected to the Hyde curse? If Hydes are a curse (this time, according to Mama Francoise) then why not a curse linked to Goody herself… one that also affects her own bloodline, but in the complete opposite way?

Anyway, just a random thought 😅 What do you think?

So, the spider is a recurring animal in the series, and above all a very symbolic one. Why? We see it in the opening sequences of seasons 1 and 2, and also at two moments that aren’t so insignificant in the show.

First, the opening in season 1: we see the spider weaving its web on Wednesday’s bedroom window. Personally, I’ve always seen that window as a symbol of Wednesday (and even Enid) already being caught in the spider’s web of some mastermind… but they don’t even realize it.

Then there’s the piñata/spider episode. And here too, isn’t it revealing? While all the other kids might have run away, Wednesday stays there, completely impassive, and even lets herself be overwhelmed by the spiders. And I find that image really powerful. Maybe, unlike those trying to escape the web, the inevitable, Wednesday accepts it, standing still, enjoying it?… but maybe not without a plan in mind 😉

In season 2, the opening adds a clock behind the spider. And here it really gains meaning. This time, we enter the dimension of the web of time, and therefore… of fate.

For those who’ve read my posts, this connects to Norse mythology: the three Norns and the wyrd, the web of fate where past, present, and future actions are all interconnected.

And for the serie, which is above all about family, or rather families, and how the past shapes the future (Goody, Crackstone, Laurel Gates, Isaac Night, Ophelia)… and that’s without even mentioning Morticia and Gomez!

Anyway, to finish, there’s also the spider resurrected by Pugsley. And here again, we see that in Wednesday’s universe, even death isn’t irreversible 😉

So what do you think? The spider weaving the web of fate? Or the trap of an unknown entity closing in on Wednesday? Or simply the price to pay for Goody’s blind revenge?

A price paid later, but according to the wyrd, every action has consequences.....sooner or later.

So… any ideas for the spider opening in season 3? I’m taking bets 🕷️

Just a passing thought, maybe it’s already been brought up.

Sinclair is a surname derived from Saint Clair, which itself comes from Normandy in France. So maybe, since ancestors, whether alive or dead, are often the key to problems (or even the problems themselves: Goody, Crackstone, Laurel, Isaac…), the key to saving Enid could be tied to her ancestors… which would lead us to France and, well… the Paris catacombs.

I mean, that’s very Addams-coded, right?

It also connects to Ophelia’s drawings and the recurring symbolism of the realm of the dead, especially with Hester’s crossing of "the Styx"....maybe a ritual or a summoning tied to bloodlines?

So what do you think? Are we about to learn more about the Sinclair family history?

Hey, do you remember my chess theory?

Basically, I think that Wednesday is one giant chess game that started long before her birth, where two clans are fighting each other, like two teams, like A vs B… yeah, ring any bells? That’s normal. I said in a previous post that I see the last teaser like a murder party where two families/groups oppose each other and other characters (N, star, or O) can step in.

Anyway, I was thinking about it again, especially our dear friend Balthazar, and it’s actually pretty funny because the name Balthazar is full of symbolism.

First, it comes from Babylonian: Bel-shar-uzur, basically “the god Bel protects the king.” Not from my personal knowledge obviously, I just looked it up.

And then I thought… Bel protects who? The king? Like the chess piece?

Well yeah... I’ve already told you I keep seeing chess references everywhere, but hey... I’m not the only one 😉

Also, in the teaser we see two bottles: the one with the name Balthazar and another one to its left with a question mark. The mystery character. Maybe.... that famous king?

And if that’s the case, it’s pretty funny because from a chessboard perspective, the piece to the right of the king is the bishop… so we come back to “Bel protects the king.”

And B as in Bishop, Bel (the link to the god Bel) … and why not Team B?

And finally, I couldn’t not talk about a very famous Balthazar who is often associated with two companions, Melchior and Gaspar… yep, the famous “Three Wise Men.”

And that’s REALLY interesting because we get the idea of the king again, but also a little bonus: the gift often attributed to Balthazar is myrrh... that mixture used for embalming, you know, to preserve bodies…

Which, by the way… Grandma Frump… you know… Hester… isn’t that kind of… her thing? ;)

So maybe a link between the two?

It’s true that Rosaline’s words are quite intriguing... why does she say that Hester “fell for a huckster”? Did he betray her? Could that explain Hester’s disdain for romantic love?

Personally, I’m betting on it .... only because I think those two actors together would make a great duo.

But hey… it’s just a theory ♝♚ 😉
