Liklihood of this happening again?

recently tfmred at 20 weeks because our angel had 60% mosiac trisomy 18. I miss her so much it hurts. I’m 33.5 and my husband is 33. I hope this isn’t an insensitive question as I know some people suffer more than one loss, but for anyone who tfmred due to t18 - have you had successful pregnancies after? have you had losses? searching for any hope I can get. I’m sorry to everyone who is here. sending love.

Hi all. We recently TFMRed with our angel baby when she was 19 weeks and 5 days. She had mosiac trisomy 18 and was incompatible with life. I miss her so much it hurts.

I want a baby so desperately. I am hoping to bring a happy and healthy baby to this earth. I am looking for answers as to why our baby had mosiac trisomy 18. Was it a "rescue event" or a random miotic error. No one can help me with this. Any doctors we have spoken to have shrugged and said "bad luck". I hate that response so much. My baby was not bad luck. I will love her for my whole life.

I am wondering if anyone has any insight into the best way to get answers on why this happened, and how it can be avoided moving forward?

Signed,

A broken woman who just desperately wants to be a Mom

Hi - my husband and I just suffered a late-term loss. Our angel was 20 weeks. It has been excrutiating - and the OB/GYNs at NYU (and all other associated staff) just are not cutting it for our needs. We want to try again as soon as we can. We are interested in:

- MFM Associates (East 90th Street)

- Mount Sinai's Rainbow Clinic

Does anyone have feedback on either?

Hello all - we TFMR'ed with our first child last week due to a T18 diagnosis. I am incredibly sad and shaken up, and believe I will be for the forseeable future. I want a baby so so so so incredibly badly.

My questions to people who have been in my place:

- How did you decide whether to conceive naturally next time OR do IVF for more testing?

- What precontraception testing did you do to rule out your genetic abnormalities/issues with egg and sperm?

- Sarcastic question: Why are doctors and genetic counselors so fucking callous towards the hardest and most crushing experience my husband and I have ever been through (SCREAMS). lol Thanks for letting me vent.
