The city I moved to and the city I live in now feel like two different places wearing the same name. And honestly, love what it's becoming. But there's something quietly disorienting about a place that moves this fast. I think what I'm actually trying to name is this. Belonging somewhere has less to do with the city and more to do with the people you experience it with. And somewhere between the pace of this place and the demands of adult life, those connections quietly thinned out without me even noticing. One of the fastest-growing cities in the country, and somehow it's never been harder to feel genuinely settled here. Does anyone else feel this, or just me?
