Hi y'all!
I've been playing since madden 11, been playing connected franchise for a decade. This year I'm only playing franchises with a couple of friends, but I can't find or create sliders/settings that I'm satisfied with.
We all know that some of the gameplay is bs and has it's usual EA scripts, but I tried to work it all out and after creating 30 leagues since january, I'm asking here for help because atp I might just turn some sliders to max and some to min. 😂

I'm a realistic gameplay junky when it comes to sports games (my friends also). We tried numerous popular sliders and gave them our own twists. I set up traits, abilities, xp sliders, adjusting like 80-90% of the players' ratings etc.

My/our main problem is the user vs user gameplay. I feel like when two mostly same skilled players play, the winner is decided by the EA script coin toss... Seems like user vs user defense is non-existent, or only existent if you have EA by your side.
I'd say I had a fair share of very realistic seasons in madden 26 but those only happened when I played a whole league of CPU teams vs me...and we all know that going only against the CPU gets boring after a while.

My friends and I tried the sliders with and without superstar abilities because when we had our best fun in online leagues those had the abilities turned off, but we felt like we needed them back to even out the EA scripts and then we edited out the ones we thought were unrealistic.

I'm gonna break down my sliders here for you guys to see if I should adjust something to your suggestions or you guys can try them out if you like them obviously.

All-madden/Sim
10-minute quarters

USER
QB accuracy: 50 (still have unrealistic inaccurate throws, even with abilities on)
PB: 50 (I'd say this would be alr, if there wouldn't be any bs where the OL doesn't block anyone; also here: can any of you work out how to use OL slide? I tried to turn the auto protection coaching adjustment off/base etc. and sometimes I can adjust protection, sometimes I can't...most of the time I can't. And if I remember correctly, this worked perfectly in older maddens, because there weren't any coaching adjustments to influence this)
WR catching: 65 (I feel like this mostly evens out the unrealistic drops)
RB: 25 (infamously not working at any setting, feels like I could run a 1000-yard season with any RB)
Ball security: 49 (this is alright imo)
PD reaction time: 80
Interceptions: 40 (some unrealistic drops and unrealistic picks)
Pass cov: 80 (feels straight up trash still)
Tackling: 80 (alright imo)

CPU
QB accuracy: 49
PB: 65
WR catching: 65
RB: 50
Ball security: 49
Interceptions: 25
Pass cov: 80
Tackling: 80

Special teams
FG accuracy 40, everything else 50.

Game options
Injuries 35 (idk if any injuries happen at all where the player gets fully knocked out of the game or for a longer period, feels like most – and way more injuries – happen when a user's game gets simulated)
Fatigue: 75 (alr imo)
Speed threshold: 50
Precipitation pass accuracy scale: 35
Precipitation slip scale: 15 (we felt like we had way too many slippings on the more-widely used 40 setting)
Precipitation movement penalties: 40
Rest of these: 50

Penalties:
Offside 90
False start: 70
Holding: 51 (meh, when it gets called, it happens in the worst possible moments, but if I turn it up, it gets unrealisticly stupid)
Face mask: 45 (idk if I had seen any of these called in this game tbh)
DPI: 90 (it gets called, but only in bs scenarios)
Illegal block in the back: 45 (rarely happens)
Roughing the passer: 50 (should happen more imo, but obviously I don't wanna get 'realistic' with this one 😂, pillows for QBs yet to come...)

Defense feels light against the CPU at times (one of my friends who only played madden for the past 2 months had a 6200 73-25 TD season with a 70 comp% on 619 attempts, which would only be the like the 43rd most attempts all time, bro doesn't even fully know how to play the game but made the best QB season on settings that should give him a hard time).

And ofc defense most of the times feels broken against users. The usual "cornerbacks shit their pants if there is a motion pre-snap in the offense" you guys can imagine, I don't need to list the reasons.

So in short: How do we fight the script in-game? Can we at all or should we all just not buy this crap, not even on sale (which I did for the past 2-3 years) and go back to madden 05?
