I’ve had my colony for a few months now. The first week I put a thawed snake in and they cleaned it no problem in a few days.

Fast forward to now: I have a possum skull in there for them to clean. They have a wet sponge for water, a lamp with a temp gauge, I covered the skull with a paper towel and it is not right under the ceramic lamp. I cut big parts of the flesh off and got most of the brain out. So, it’s not too much for them.

However, it seems like the skulls I put in there keep drying out before the beetles can clean them. Any tips?
