I’m currently working in marketing analytics (more econometrics than anything else tbh) and am thinking of making a career change towards the health sector. Not necessarily in healthcare but maybe geared towards research / analytics / data science in the health space, then eventually moving into policy in the long term.
What would be the best way for me to do that? And what does the market look like for anyone currently in that industry in terms of salary, employment opportunities, etc? I know domain knowledge/ experience is a prerequisite for these roles and I was considering taking up either a graduate certificate or a masters degree related to public health to get my foot in the door. But is that advisable? Anyone who tried to do a similar career pivot?
