Pretty sure the main loop in 6ix & Logic’s “WMD” comes from a Bill Evans piano solo in “Waltz for Debby.”

Not the main melody, an actual solo fragment. Couldn’t find it documented anywhere, but once I noticed it, it became impossible to miss.

Am I crazy or does the hook phrasing in Bob Marley’s “Get Up, Stand Up” sound REALLY similar to War’s “Slippin’ Into Darkness”?

Not saying it’s a direct sample, but maybe an interpolation or influence. Apparently someone already tried submitting it to WhoSampled before and it got rejected, but I genuinely can’t unhear it now.

Do you guys hear it too?
