Hey guys just here chasing some advice on getting qualified.
I'm a 27 year old wanting to get qualified in Carpentry, I've got 6 years experience in farming doing all sorts operating machinery and whatever else. I've done my first year as an apprentice but quit after my boss came to my house drunk trying to start a fight because I didnt wanna go to the pub with him.
This all got me thinking if its even worth trying to continue my apprenticeship or if something like RPL is a good option or if theres other ways I don't know about.
Living on apprentice wages kind of sucks and I've spoken to a few blokes on site saying they're getting 40-50 and hour and going through tafe but when I've rung up the tafe here they've said it needs to be done through an apprenticeship.
Have you got any sort of ideas or opinions that can help me think it over?
