Hi. I am a Bengali, and I come here after the BJP win over TMC today. While I don't think TMC was a good party, but I don't know what progress BJP will bring as well. And a friend of mine, also from Bengal defended it by bringing up the state of UP as an example, about how it is much safer for women than Bengal, which I found it hard to believe. But it might be my own ignorance or stereotype which is why I came to ask you guys to change my mind if needed. How safe is UP truly as a woman? I have also attached his screenshot of how UP police works in this regard, and I wanted to confirm before I can believe him. So please do educate me on this.
