I'm talking to someone that was asking if I made purchases. And anyway real quick what is the FDIC system he's talking about.

I haven't kept fish since I was 12 and am now looking into getting back into the hobby soon. I haven't decided yet on the main fish but I was thinking of getting a beta fish, but I don't want it to be the only fish because it is a 20 gallon tank and I wound love to have atleast 5+ fish/shrimp. But I've heard they can have quite the attitude when it comes to tank mates so I was wondering what wound be some of the safer options?

Also what are some good plants for beta's cause I know they like a spot to hide and chill near the surface of the water.
