Looking for a reasonably priced bearing removal tool
Until Monday, I'd never owned a single spinner.
I received the Lautie and a few extra bearings on Monday and carried it at work yesterday and today. I was a little disappointed with the setup as it arrived, the low weight paired with the smooth and quiet bearing left me pretty unimpressed. But after swapping in a hybrid ceramic bearing, I like it a lot and think it looks absolutely stunning.
The Spinetic Y arrived yesterday and I carried it today as well. I find the electroplated buttons to be too slippery for my liking, but I do like the spinner, especially with a hybrid ceramic bearing. It took me a couple hours to get acclimated with the small Y shape, but was really enjoying it after I got used to it. It's so easy to flip back and forth. I swapped the stock buttons out immediately after I finished taking photos and like it even more now.
The Mech Bro Bar Crystal, Spinetic I, and button collection were waiting on me when I got home from work today.
Initial impressions of my first bars:
I would have preferred the machine finish and brass accent or the copper accent on this stone wash on the Bar Crystal, but the price was too good to pass up. I'm not a fan of its super smooth sealed bearing, but really like it as a whole. I'll have to wait until I buy or make a bearing tool and get some more bearings in to see how I really feel about it.
The Spinetic I is pretty nice, yet again after swapping in my last hybrid ceramic bearing. It was losing a lot of speed while juddering with the stock bearing, but just keeps chugging along with the hybrid.
I have several popular classics slated to arrive later this week coming from a really cool redditor. Thanks to all for the warm welcome into the community.
I'm way late to the hobby, but thanks to a kind soul on the TDF Marketplace for giving me a good deal on my first spinner, a Lautie Bit 04 Tri in zirconium.
Build quality's excellent and I love the aesthetic of the body seeming to float around the buttons when spinning. It's likely a little small and light for me, but I'm excited to join the club nonetheless. I have a few more in transit and can hardly wait to take them for a spin.
Looking for my first decent spinner, okay with a quality clone. Preferably $50 or less. FYI, yes I did join and post in TDF Marketplace, but they frown upon clones.
