I just read the FDA data sheet for diamox because I was having increasing shortness of breath that my doctor was brushing off, and boy am I glad I did! It notes that you shouldn’t take it if you have aviolor insufficiency, which would explain why I was needing my rescue inhaler multiple times a day. I also learned it can cause urine crystals, so if you are prone to UTIs or have IC and are wondering why that’s acting up, now you know. I do recommend looking it up because there are a LOT of contradictions that my doctor never went over. I ended up in the ER three times in a month on that medication and no one connected the dots. Someone here mentioned the blackbox warning and I went looking. Thank goodness!
