Bought a cheap battery powered USB/Bluetooth/line in speaker for like £8 in a local pound shop and its not bad for the price - looks like a HomePod, has LED lights, and supports line in, bluetooth and USB stick or microSD MP3s. Thats better specs than a real HomePod frankly.
If it supported pairing for stereo I would have got two of them.
But when turning on or off it plays a loud obnoxious 'engine ignition' sound. Anyone know what chip this thing runs and can point me at a better firmware without the retard mode on it?
It also has a voice sample Bluetooth mode announcement.
Anyway to turn any of this off?
